Muladhara ~ the grounding and instinctual energy of the Root Chakra

Muladhara

Located at the base of the spine, the Sanskrit name for the Root Chakra is Muladhara, which translates to “root support”.

Rooted in the element of earth, Muladhara influences our survival instincts; the human need for safety, shelter and sustenance. It also influences our physical connection to the world.

Blockages in Muladhara often manifest as fears about money, safety or stability at home. However, when in balance it holds your connection to safety and security; keeping grounded, helping you to get your work done on a physical level and to take care of your material needs.

If you have drawn this card it is time to bring your focus into your body, and find yourself feeling more secure in the here and now.

Practice ways of grounding your energy; connecting with the earth, spending time in nature, engaging in physical activity and eating fresh nutritious foods.

With the help of energetic healing, meditation and movement, you may be able to unblock your Root Chakra to move beyond personal stumbling blocks and into greater health and happiness.
